Costa Brava Golf Tourism

OBJECTIVES: Raise awareness of Costa Brava as a golf destination and position its 10 golf courses, north of Barcelona, as a high quality, culturally rich venue for a golf break.

STRATEGY: Landmark Media devised a strategy based around six escorted media familiarization trips per year, a small number of one-on-one press trips for influential international editors and writers, plus a press release campaign to generate news and publicity around topical events and give consumers reasons to book a golf break.

RESULTS: More than 50 selected journalists visited the region during the two-year campaign, generating international coverage with a media value of more than €2 million in target markets. Costa Brava renewed its contract with Landmark Media for a third year.
