Puerto Sotogrande first marina to introduce Club Car’s street-legal utility vehicles

Club Car®, the global industry-leading manufacturer of small-wheel, zero-emissions electric vehicles, has delivered six Urban utility cars to the renowned Puerto Sotogrande in southern Spain.

The marina, one of the most exclusive tourist regions in southern Europe, has chosen Club Car’s all-electric, street-legal Urban model to ensure daily maintenance is carried out efficiently and in line with environmental sustainability commitments.

Jesús Gavira, Head of Infrastructure and Maintenance at Puerto Sotogrande, explains: “These vehicles are essential for our daily work. It’s crucial we have vehicles that can be driven on urban roads in a sustainable way, so using these electric cars aligns with our strategy and vision.”

The Club Car Urban stands out with its ergonomic design, superior handling and passenger comfort and safety. It has an impressive 1-tonne load capacity, a top speed of 31mph and up to 90 miles on one battery charge.

It also has many customisable rear configurations, from a closed van box to a fixed or tipping pick-up bed. Puerto Sotogrande has opted for a pick-up bed with mesh cage, ideally suited to tasks such as grounds maintenance and landscaping.

José Carlos Aranda, sales representative for Riversa, which delivered the vehicles, said: “Club Car’s Urban is an extremely versatile vehicle with many configurations available, which allows it to adapt to the needs of any job. It is one of the most powerful electric mobility solutions on the market.”
