The Club at Castiglion del Bosco, Tuscany, Europe’s finest golf and wine experience at Italy’s only fully private golf club, will stage the second annual Weiskopf Invitational, May 31 – June 1, 2019.
The exclusive event, hosted by 1973 Open Champion and acclaimed golf course designer Tom Weiskopf, will welcome Club Members and invited Guests to a weekend of world class golf, wine and hospitality.
David Waters, General Manager of The Club, said: “The Weiskopf Invitational is a unique and rare experience, and one at which our Members and invited Guests will be treated to the very best Castiglion del Bosco has to offer.
“Tom is an iconic figure in world golf, both as a Major winning tournament professional and one of the greatest golf course designers of modern times, so it will be an honor to welcome Tom back to share a special weekend in Tuscany.”
The Club at Castiglion del Bosco is Italy’s only fully private golf club, offering Members privileged access to the estate’s winery, producer of prestigious Brunello di Montalcino wines.
Members from Europe, the United States and further afield enjoy exclusive golf events and wine dinners in Tuscany and at prestigious private clubs around the world.
Massimo Ferragamo, Founder of The Club at Castiglion del Bosco, who will join Members and Guests to host the gala dinner, said:
“It was a privilege to work with Tom as our course designer and so we are honored both he and his wife Laurie will once again join us again for the Weiskopf Invitational.
“At last year’s inaugural event, Tom was immensely generous in spending time with Members and Guests and I know how much they enjoyed his company and conversation, on and off the course, as well as his eloquent after dinner talk and insights on his career in professional golf and course design.
“We look forward to welcoming Tom, our Members and invited Guests to what promises to be a very special and memorable weekend at Castiglion del Bosco.”
The Weiskopf Invitational will take place May 31 to June 1, 2019.
