The Grove installs new Club Car fleet with music speakers
The Grove has become the first venue in the UK to offer golf cars with Bluetooth speakers after receiving a new state-of-the-art Club Car fleet.
The luxury hotel, golf course and spa just outside London, England, has installed 40 Lithium Tempo vehicles with premium seats and built-in USB ports, and is elevating its world-class golf experience even further by offering upgraded technology that allows users to connect their mobile phones and stream music on the course.

“The speakers have been very well received,” said Brad Gould, Director of Golf at The Grove, which has chosen Club Car as its golf car supplier since it opened in 2003.
“The Grove is always trying to push the boundaries and find ways to maximise the guest experience. We were the first in the UK to add Visage GPS screens, now we’re letting our clientele have some fun with the speakers.
“The speakers are built in to the cars and let people inside the car enjoy music; if you’re a few feet away you can’t hear it, so there’s no impact on other golfers.”
Club Car’s highly-acclaimed Tempo model comes with 3.3hp motor and 375 Amp controller as standard to deliver outstanding hill-climbing power and acceleration. It also has many customisable options including colour, seats, storage, wheels and three programmable drive modes to maximise performance.
With the majority of golfers opting to use a car to navigate The Grove’s Kyle Phillips-designed championship course, Club Car’s quality and reliability is crucial.
“We have a lot of corporate events and society days and we want to ensure that experience is enhanced to the maximum,” added Gould. “We try to set the benchmark and Club Car has always helped us do that.”

The Grove is located in Hertfordshire, 18 miles from central London, and has in the last year made significant investment in its golf offering, including introducing TrackMan Range to its practice facilities and renovating The Stables Bar and Terrace and locker rooms. The wider hotel has also completed a multi-phase refurbishment including the recent unveiling of the new 18th century mansion rooms and suites.
